OPEN LETTER TO THE SOUTH AFRICAN GOVERNMENT AND FORMER FINANCE MINISTER, TREVOR MANUEL.
INTRODUCTION
Mr.
Manual, we have met a few years ago with your official New York visit to meet
with US corporate investors to encourage long term investments in the “investment
friendly” South Africa.
Our
investment group was one of the very few that reacted positively to your
government’s invitation at that time, and subsequent to our meaningful
discussion we have immediately embarked on a journey to establish good business
relations with top executives and corporations all over the African Continent.
IBDF
INTERNATIONAL LLC
IBDF
International LLC dba the Paulsmeier Inc Group has since our discussion
invested in excess of $2 billion in business ventures in Africa, of which about $500 million was allocated to South African projects. We
have continued our group’s new African investment expansion program with the
establishment of a $20 billion fund in early 2016.
The
focus of our fund, as you are aware, was to invest in infrastructure, business
and entrepreneurial development opportunities in Africa, but more particularly
in South Africa for the reasons presented to us.
We
have equally established a corporate infrastructure in South Africa under our
IBDF Africa brand name, which consisted of one public and three private limited
companies.
We
were regrettably ‘forced’ to terminated our African expansion program following
a dirty tricks campaign against our group, which directly resulted in enormous
financial losses and reputational damage to the IBDF brand name.
We
therefore wish to advise you that substantial lawsuits will be filed against
Media24; and AGRI SA; and TLU SA over this particular matter, as these parties
have not taken any remedial action to correct their wrongdoing against IBDF and
some of our corporate divisions.
R1.5
BILLION GABM SOUTH AFRICAN DROUGHT RELIEF PROJECT
233
members of our philanthropic division, Global Association of Billionaires and
Millionaires (GABM) have equally responded to a request from South Africa to
donate money to distressed farmers in South Africa suffering from the continued
drought conditions in that part of the world.
An
amount of R1.5 Billion were collected and entrusted to TLU SA, one of the
leading agricultural unions in South Africa.
It
is our understanding that the R1.5 Billion donation has since disappeared and
none of South Africa’s farmers have received a dime from this donation.
This
particular aspect is the primary motivation behind this letter to you as we
regard this matter as extremely serious. Mr. Manual, we would like you and the
South African Government to intervene in this matter with the purpose of
returning the R1.5 Billion to the GABM donors without delay.
REPUTATIONAL
DAMAGE TO SOUTH AFRICA
Investors
and corporate donors from all over the world are taking notice of this matter
and are following the developments closely.
If
not resolved soon, the R1.5 Billion GABM South African Drought Relief Project affair
will escalate into a much bigger scandal than that of the SAP, BellPottinger
and KPMG matters, which South Africa don’t need I am sure.
Please
give us your support and let us resolve this matter speedily.
Thank
you for taking the time in reading this letter.
Yours
sincerely
David
Allen
Vice-President:
IBDF International LLC dba the Paulsmeier Inc Group
